Trading psychology software, defined
Trading psychology software is software that supports the behavioral side of execution: preparation, discipline, risk behavior, and honest review. It does not predict price or generate signals. A signal tool asks "what might the market do?" This category asks a different question: "what will you do — and what process should follow if you break your own rules?"
The category is still developing. Books, courses, and written plans can build understanding; software can keep a chosen process present during a live session. This page defines that software approach and the limits of what it can do.
What the category covers
Five capabilities span a spectrum from awareness to enforcement. A mature implementation can support the trade lifecycle before, during, and after execution.
Behavioral profiling
Define your A-Game and C-Game before the session: the conditions where you trade well, the triggers that break you, and the safeguards that should fire when they appear.
Pre-trade readiness
Checklists and mental-state assessment at the moment of entry — so “am I actually ready to take this trade?” gets asked by the software, not left to the moment.
Live execution awareness
Real-time tracking of P&L, risk, and rule adherence while the trade is on — surfacing drift the moment it starts instead of in tomorrow's regret.
Journaling that measures behavior
A journal that can capture monitored executions automatically and score discipline and execution against your own rules — evidence, not memory.
Rule enforcement
The hard edge of the category: after a limit is detected, enforcement software can attempt to cancel orders and flatten positions, then hold a software lock until its calculated expiry.
The problems it exists for
“I know the rules. I just don't follow them.”
Writing down a rule and following it under pressure are different tasks. Software can keep the plan present in that moment: profiling defines the warning signs, a readiness check names the current state, and the journal records what happened for later review.
“One revenge session wiped a week of discipline.”
Once frustration takes over, another reminder may not be enough. This is where awareness tooling can hand off to reactive enforcement: after a configured limit is detected, the software can attempt to flatten and can hold a lock that limits further trading through the platform.
“I keep failing prop evaluations on the daily loss limit.”
A single daily-loss or drawdown breach can end an evaluation. Discipline software can support the process around that risk: readiness checks before trading, awareness during it, reactive enforcement after a detected limit, and a journal that makes repeated patterns easier to review.
How Price Axiom implements the category
Cognitive Hub covers awareness and measurement today. Axiom Guardian is the coming-soon enforcement layer.
Cognitive Hub
Cognitive Hub brings daily planning, position sizing, ATM chart tools, real-time risk and behavioral alerts, and an automatic trade journal together for discretionary futures traders.

A coming-soon account-level add-on that watches NinjaTrader 8 account events and responds to detected rule breaches with alerts or attempts to cancel orders, flatten positions, and hold a durable software lock until its calculated expiry.
Explore Axiom GuardianThe two are designed to work together — the Hub warns, Guardian acts — but each runs standalone.
Common questions
Discipline as a workflow, not a wish
