The NinjaTrader trading journal with automatic execution capture
While Cognitive Hub is running, it captures executions for the ChartTrader account and instrument you selected. No separate CSV import, cloud-sync bridge, or journal web account.
The Trade Journal is built into Cognitive Hub, Price Axiom's discipline workflow for futures traders on NinjaTrader 8 — personal and prop-firm accounts alike. $497 one-time — no journaling subscription.
When the monitored position returns to flat, its record is finalized with computed metrics. With optional auto-capture enabled, a screenshot is taken when the monitored chart or a matching Cognitive Hub chart tab becomes visible. If the session ends before a suitable chart is available, the Journal marks the image as not captured.
No CSV. No sync. No web account.
CSV imports, sync setup, and manual entry can add friction to a review habit. That friction is especially easy to avoid after a difficult session, when an honest record is most useful.
Cognitive Hub reduces that bookkeeping. While it is running, it monitors the selected ChartTrader account and chart instrument. When the position returns to flat, the trade is written to the local journal with computed metrics.
Captured from monitored executions
Execution data is captured in-platform. When you use the surrounding Cognitive Hub workflow, the journal can also preserve your planning and discipline context.
- Entries, exits, and per-trade P&L from your live executions
- R-multiple, MAE/MFE, and time-in-trade metrics
- Discipline and execution scores tied to your enabled rules
- Exit status, scoring confidence, and favorable excursion given back on scored trades
- Risk-alert exposure telemetry captured during the trade
- Optional entry and exit chart screenshots when a matching Cognitive Hub chart tab becomes visible
- Account, instrument, and strategy attribution per trade
Review it like a trading desk would
Four journal views turn the raw history into answers — filtered by date, account, symbol, or strategy, and exportable to CSV.
Dashboard
A customizable widget grid of outcome and behavior KPIs — daily P&L, win rate, discipline score, clean-session rate, equity curve, and more.
Trade History
Monitored trades with metrics and an action timeline, plus any notes, tags, or screenshots captured during the workflow.
Calendar
Month-grid review of P&L and trade count by day — spot the weekday and streak patterns your P&L curve hides.
Symbol Stats
Per-instrument breakdowns, with global filters by date, account, symbol, and strategy, plus filtered trade-history CSV export.
The filter-bar Today shortcut uses the current trading day, while Account, Symbol, and Strategy menus support type-to-filter search. The Time of Day Heatmap can switch among P&L, win rate, trade count, average MAE, and average MFE.
Built-in vs. import-based journals
| Import-based web journals | Cognitive Hub journal | |
|---|---|---|
| How trades get in | CSV export or a sync bridge pushing fills to their cloud | Recorded in-platform from live executions |
| Setup | Often a web account plus import or sync setup | Add Cognitive Hub to a chart |
| Screenshots | Varies by provider; often manual | Optional entry/exit capture when a matching chart is visible |
| Discipline data | Provider-dependent tags, notes, or ratings | Scored from enabled rules and executions |
| Where data lives | Often in the provider's cloud | Your machine, local-first |
| Pricing | Varies; recurring plans are common | One-time purchase |
Import-based journals can be the right tool for multi-platform portfolios. For the account and instrument Cognitive Hub monitors in NinjaTrader 8, the local approach removes the separate journal-import step.
A journal is where discipline is measured. Cognitive Hub is where it's built.
The journal is one part of a complete workflow: behavioral profiling before you trade, readiness checklists at the moment of entry, live risk awareness during the trade, and structured review after it. And for hard limits, the companion add-on Axiom Guardian (coming soon) can respond after a detected hard-rule breach by attempting to cancel and flatten, then holding a durable software lock until expiry. It is not currently purchasable.
